- Gerondi, Zerachiah ben Isaac
(fl. 12th cent)
Italian rabbinic scholar and poet. He was born in Gerona and settled in Lunel. His Sepher ha-Maor is a critical examination of the writings of Isaac ben Jacob Alfasi. In Sepher ha-Tzava he provided an introduction to talmudic methodology. He also composed liturgical poems.
